FAQ.

What is airbrush tanning?

Airbrush tanning provides a beautifully bronze UV free tan. You will enjoy a golden glow without any harsh rays from the sun or unwanted tan lines. The DHA in our tanning solution is what allows your body to produce a natural rich tan. DHA (dihydroxyacetone) is safe and has been approved by the FDA and is used in all over the counter tanning products as well as in our paraben free tanning solution.

How does airbrush tanning work?

A certified airbrush technician will come to your home or private location and provide a quick and discrete tanning session. The session will take approximately 30 minutes from setup to take down. The actual airbrushing will take approximately 10 minutes. All we need is an electrical outlet and a well lit area to airbrush in. We will determine the best area to airbrush upon arrival.

How do I prep for my airbrush session?

Shave and exfoliate before your appointment for the most flawless tan. Do not apply any lotion, deodorant, makeup or perfume as these products do not allow your body to absorb the tanning solution evenly. Avoid any oil based bath products when showering.

What do I wear before, during and after my session?

Wear loose fitting clothes before and after your airbrush session. The tanning solution produces an instant bronzer which may rub off on your clothing. We recommend wearing dark colored clothing. Our tanning solution is water solvable and will wash out of most fabrics. Do not shower 6-8 hours after your session, your tan needs time to develop evenly.

During your tanning session you may wear whatever you feel most comfortable in. You may prefer to be nude to avoid any tan lines. If you wish to wear underwear or a swim suit we recommend dark colors like black or navy.

How long will my Bask Tan last?

If you care for your tan properly it may last up to 7-10 days.

How do I care for my Bask Tan?

· Do not shower for 6-8 hours after your tanning session.

· Avoid water and liquid during the processing time. It may be best to schedule your tan for the evening so the processing time can occur while you are sleeping.

· You will notice upon showering that the bronzer will be coming off. This is normal and will not affect your tan.

· Take warm showers, not hot. Pat dry do not rub.

· Avoid heavy sweating, swimming, sauna or spa activity as these naturally exfoliate your skin and will leave an uneven appearance.

· Moisturize at least 2 times daily, this is the key in giving the longest life possible to your tan.

· If you cannot avoid the pool we recommend an oil based sunscreen to help lock in your tan.

· Manicures and pedicures will remove your tan as soaking and scrubbing will remove your outer layers of skin. Remember to schedule these appointments before your tanning appointment.

All of these precautions must be taken to ensure a natural, long lasting beautiful tan.

Does an airbrush tan protect my skin from the sun?

No, there is no SPF protection in an airbrush tan. You will want to protect your skin and tan by wearing an oil based sunscreen when out in the sun. You do not want to burn as this leads to peeling which will give your tan an uneven appearance.

Can I be airbrushed nude?

You may be airbrushed in whatever you feel most comfortable. Feel confident knowing that your privacy is our upmost importance. We will provide a comfortable and discrete atmosphere during your airbrush session. We all have imperfect bodies and airbrush tanning is one way to help give us the confidence we desire in our appearance.

Do you spray men & women?

We will provide airbrush services to men and women. Men are required to wear an undergarment at all times during the airbrush session. We recommend dark colored boxer shorts or underwear that can be airbrushed.

How far will Bask travel?

Bask will travel to any home or private location in Clovis, Fresno & Sanger. Bask will also provide on site services for events such as weddings, proms, photoshoots, etc. Additional fees will apply for events and travel outside of the Sanger, Clovis, & Fresno areas. Can pregnant women spray tan?

Although our solution is safe and FDA approved, it is advised that pregnant or breastfeeding women should not spray tan.

Does airbrush tanning leave an odor?

This is a common question, and yes, all products that use DHA create a slight odor depending on the pH level in your skin. As your tan develops you may or may not notice a slight odor. The SunFX system that we use is odorless upon application, unlike most tanning products.
